
Maureen Lawrence, Chair
Ms. Lawrence is a retired executive who held positions as CEO and vice president of marketing in technology companies in the Boston area and Silicon Valley. She was also a general partner in the venture capital firm Lucent Venture Partners that invested in early stage technology companies. She currently serves on the board of the SPCA Eastern Shore, as a trustee for the Eastern Shore Public Library system and a board member of the Friends of the Northampton Free Library and IM Dance Company. She was a former board member of the Barrier Islands Center and lives with her husband, horses and dogs in Machipongo.

Joyce Fooks Holland
Mrs. Holland is an owner and broker for Holland Realty and President of Resources Unlimited as well as an agent for J.T. Holland State Farm Insurance Agency. She is a founding member of Eastern Shore’s Own Art Center as well as the Barrier Islands Center and past president or chair of the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation, the Hospice and Palliative Care, Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Eastern Shore Birding Festival and the Exmore Rotary Club. She has also served on the boards of the Virginia State Board for Community Colleges, Shore Life Care at Parksley, ESVA Habitat for Humanity, North Street Playhouse, Regional Lung Association, American Heart Association.
Joyce is an Eastern Shore native from Pungoteague and currently resides in Nassawadox with her husband, J.T. Holland.

Christoper D. Bott
Mr. Bott was born and raised on Chincoteague Island. After graduating from the University of Virginia he attended Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy. After graduating from pharmacy school, he returned home to Chincoteague and now is a part-owner and operator of H & H Pharmacy with two locations, Chincoteague Island and Oak Hall. Mr. Bott currently serves as Board Vice-Chairman of A & N Electrical Cooperative. He is the treasurer for the Chincoteague Island Chamber of Commerce, and scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 323 on Chincoteague. Mr. Bott is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church. He and his wife Christy have three sons (Parker, William, and Nathan) and currently reside on Chincoteague Island.

L. Bruce Holland
Mr. Holland is a 1970 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics and is a retired from W.T. Holland & Sons, Inc. He is a member and ordained elder of Beaver Dam Presbyterian Church and a past board member and officer of the Virginia Soybean Association as well as the Virginia Soybean Board, the Virginia Potato and Vegetable Growers Association and the Virginia Potato Board member. In addition, he has served on the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors, the New Church Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company (Treasurer), the Pocomoke Ruritan Club, the Francis Makemie Society and is a member of the Virginia Tech Agriculture Hall of Fame. In addition, the Virginia legislature passed a resolution honoring Mr. Holland for Agricultural Leadership.
Mr. Holland has been married to his wife, Debbie for 48 years and resides in New Church.

Susan Nottingham
Ms. Nottingham, a 1975 graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, is a partner in the firm of Ginsberg, Nottingham & Mapp in Accomac. She is former treasurer of the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Fall Antique Show, a position she held for 10 years. Ms. Nottingham is also a past board member of the Eastern Shore Literacy Council, a member of Franktown United Methodist Church and the Debedeavon Garden Club. She is a resident of Franktown.

Norman Thibodeaux
Mr. Thibodeaux is the President of Kellam Energy, Inc. He has previously worked for Bay Shore Concrete Products of Cape Charles, and Kellam Companies of Belle Haven. In 2005, he was named Outstanding Citizen of the year by the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce. He lives in Melfa, Virginia with his wife Nancy S. Thibodeaux, and together they have four children and six grandchildren. They are members of St. George’s Episcopal Church and active in church affairs.

Richard F. Hall, III
An Eastern Shore native, Rick farmed for many years in addition to managing commercial real estate on the Eastern Shore. He has been supportive of many local non-profits including the Eastern Shore Soil and Water Conservation District, Broadwater Academy, the Francis Mackemie Society, the ES Public Library, the SPCA, and many others.

Timothy Brown
After retiring as President of Old Dominion Peanut Corp., a confectionary manufacturer, the Brown family relocated to their farm on Hunting Creek near Greenbush. Since then, Tim has dedicated his efforts to restoring habitat for wildlife and waterfowl. He is active in Ducks Unlimited, is a past Board member of the Barrier Island Center and is past president and current treasurer of the Virginia Eastern Shore Land Trust.

Mozella Francis
Ms. Francis is an Eastern Shore native currently living in Parksley but is the Executive Director of Northampton County’s Department of Social Services. Previous to that, she was Chief Executive Officer of Hospice of the Eastern Shore. In addition, Ms. Francis has served in leadership positions on several local boards including the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation.

Robin Rinaca
Robin grew up in the Shenandoah Valley and graduated from James Madison University in 1976. In 1980, Robin moved to the Eastern Shore and purchased Eastern Shore Nursery of Virginia, where she still serves as General Manager. Active in professional organizations, she has served as President of the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association and on the Board of Governors for the American Nursery and Landscape Association. She currently serves on the board of American Nursery Credit Association and represents Virginia on the Mid Atlantic Nursery Trade Show board.
She has served on the Boards of Habitat for Humanity, Broadwater Academy and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society. She currently serves as a Trustee of Grace United Methodist Church and as Treasurer of Historic Garden Week on the Eastern Shore.
Robin lives on Folly Creek in an old house that she and her late husband restored. She has two adult daughters. She enjoys gardening, boating, clamming and traveling.

Julie M. Badger, CPA, Executive Director
Mrs. Badger has been a Shore resident for almost 30 years, moving here after growing up in Texas. Most of those 30 years were spent in the banking industry where she was Compliance Officer, Internal Auditor, Chief Financial Officer as well as working in bank operations and Commercial Banking. Mrs. Badger has served on many local non-profit boards through the years. Most notably, she co-chaired the fundraising drive for the Shore Cancer Center, is currently a board member of the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Foundation and volunteers weekly with Una Familia and Dos Santos tutoring programs for Hispanic children. She lives in Melfa.
